How it started... and who we are now

An Endless Passion for Rock Music
And living life extreme...

First of all… SevenPly, the word. When we formed the band we were all into extreme sports and we all were skateboarders. There are 7 plies of wood in a skateboard, all bound together by very strong glue. That’s what allows the board to have it’s distinctive shape and together the layers form a perfect concave wooden structure that allows the user to do all the tricks you see on TV. We all did it, we all loved it, and like the board layers, the band was held together and bonded with very strong glue… rock music!

SevenPly started in the early 2000’s and played all kinds of events and venues in the south from Kentucky to Florida. Some of our original songs were featured on radio stations such as 106.7 WKMX and 97X Pirate Radio. We were known for our kick ass shows, great set lists that covered songs not typically covered by other bands, and crazy set breaks that always featured “Tricks of the Night”, where we would ollie off the bar, tops of speaker cabinets, etc. Very entertaining shows to say the least!

After 4 years of playing nearly every weekend, the band decided we would focus on our careers and family. In 2004, we decided to stop playing and focus our efforts elsewhere…. keep reading ↓

WE ARE BACK

Fast forward 17 years...

Out of the blue, Alan’s wife calls up the old band to see if we would be interested in doing a reunion show for Alan’s 40th SUPRISE birthday party. Everyone was in, we practiced some of our songs a couple times before the party and just showed up.

Alan was surprised to say the least, he stepped on stage and we threw his bass in his hands and rocked the night away. After the show/party we hung out, talked about the good ole days, and pondered if we could do it again. Bet you can guess how that worked out…

Now, as husbands, dads, sports coaches, and with full time careers, we thought… WHY THE HELL NOT??!! Lets do this!

We all still love the music that entitled us to so many good times back in the day. And with the weight of life and career we all needed a way to let loose, have some fun, and do the thing that we love… playing music and entertaining a crowd. So we are back, and in full force, ready to give a crowd a good time with our high intensity rock!
